Green Pahadi Foundation collaborated with the Department of Agriculture, Pauri Garhwal, under the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) initiative. ATMA serves as a district-level institutional framework aimed at implementing extension reforms under the scheme ‘Support to State Extension Programmes for Extension Reforms.’ The initiative emphasizes a farmer-driven, farmer-accountable extension system that fosters sustainable agricultural practices and livelihoods.
This collaboration placed a strong emphasis on addressing gender concerns, recognizing women as key contributors to the rural economy. By mobilizing women into groups and providing them with specialized trainings, the project sought to empower them, enhance community participation, and create employment opportunities.
